Simple Plan Tour

London.  Again.  Turns out I spend most of my life in the capital city .. I should start calling it my second home.

I took a lil trip down to meet up with one of my best friends, Rikki.

We grabbed lunch at Five Guys, which if you don’t know is one of my favourite places to eat.  Burgers.  Fries.  Milkshakes.  Free refills with over 100 choices of fizzy drinks.  This places is honestly heaven.  11/10 would recommend it.

And here’s the punchline ..

It was then she broke it to me that she’d brought tickets for us both to go and see my favourite band .. THAT evening .. right now .. after I’d crammed this oh so greasy, but oh so delicious burger down my throat.

We mooched around the shops a little longer, mainly because it was cold and we wanted to minimize our time stood outside queuing.  Also, the Westfield is probably one of the nicest shopping centers ever, it’s in my “Top 5” (and yes, I do have a list of my favourite places to shop, I’m a girl, let me be), so it was nice to kill some time in there.

Aaaand then we went to the venue.

It was a lot bigger than I expected.  I mean, sure, I knew Simple Plan weren’t some low-key indie band that only a handful of people knew of, but the length of the queue kinda threw me a little .. I never realised how well known these guys were.

Regardless, we still managed to get a decent view as the flooring was tiered and I can remember being so freaking excited.  And when I say excited I mean literally vibrating with giddiness.

Luckily had my new camera with me, so it got to experience its first concert .. and take some pretty good photos in the process.

They were SO good.  And I’m not just saying that because I may be slightly in love with the entire band.

They were fun and had the whole crowd singing along and waving our hands in the air like nothing else mattered.

The setlist was also kinda perfect (though I’m a teeny bit annoyed they swapped ‘Astronaut‘ for ‘This Song Saved My Life‘ on the UK leg of the tour), but hey, beggars can’t be choosers and I guess the fact they did ‘Jet Lag‘ kinda made up for that.

Major shout out to Rikki for completely spoiling me more than I deserve. Love ya.
