The Grand Canyon (IN A HELICOPTER)

Whilst exploring southern USA with Trek America, we were offered several optional activities – one of these being a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon. Out of all the excursions, this was by far the most pricey and before going I’d made sure to read up on previous Trekkers’ experiences to see if it was worthwhile.  I was kind of on the edge, mainly because of … Continue reading The Grand Canyon (IN A HELICOPTER)

Zion National Park & Hiking Angel’s Landing

Our first national park whilst exploring the southern states was Zion, a favourite of mine for many reasons.  Red rock.  Incredible scenery.  And home to one of my top hikes; Angel’s Landing. This hike is not that long (a 5 mile round trip), but the inclines are that kinda steep that makes your thighs burn with each step.  Which, I guess, is why not everyone … Continue reading Zion National Park & Hiking Angel’s Landing

Warner Bros Harry Potter Studios: a photo diary

A couple of weeks ago I got the chance to visit one of the most magical places in the UK.  The Harry Potter Studios!  Only an hour drive from Central London, it was the perfect addition to our itinerary whilst exploring the capital city. I didn’t take a ridiculous amount of photos during my time here.  For someone who likes to write about my experiences, I … Continue reading Warner Bros Harry Potter Studios: a photo diary

The Bullet Journal: being organised

Like anybody, I’m striving to be more organised.  Nobody likes the feeling or being overwhelmed or losing control on life – neither do I.  And I owe a huge chunk of that feeling to being disorganised.  There, I admitted it.  As much as I’d love to write about how on top of everything I am and how tidy my life, on a whole, is.  But, instead, … Continue reading The Bullet Journal: being organised

Hollywood, iHop & Exploring LA

California definitely had to be one of my favourite states when exploring the states.  It had the most incredible coastline; hot, white sand, complete with palm trees and dreamy little towns to grab brunch in. We stopped for ice-cream and a little day shop in downtown San Luis Obispo (SLO), which happens to be the kinda small Californian town that you see in films.  This … Continue reading Hollywood, iHop & Exploring LA

Valentine’s Day in Amsterdam

This post is extreemly late (almost two months overdue, but hey, shoot me).  Better late than never if you ask me.  So, anyway. Over the February half term, I was lucky enough to indulge in a few days away in the incredibly quirky and beautiful city of Amsterdam.  My girlfriend and I both decided that a little get away for Valentine’s day was much needed … Continue reading Valentine’s Day in Amsterdam

San Francisco: The Golden Gate Bridge & My First In-N-Out Burger

Today was “America Day” for our group.  And if you’ve been on any kind of organised tour around the states, I’m pretty sure you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. Over the past few weeks we’d made it our job to acquire as much USA themed tat from Walmart as we could.  And when I say “tat” I mean, transferable tattoos, cheesy snapbacks, knee high … Continue reading San Francisco: The Golden Gate Bridge & My First In-N-Out Burger
